Meet Jane, Susan, Rupert, Edmond, Mildred, and Charlie. It is a common practice among a certain part of my family--specifically with Ritchie's brother, Randy's, kids--to address each other in proper British accents. We play upon such themes as elegant parties, diamond jewelry, and a mysterious friend that often invites us over for some of her fabulous bumble-berry tea. In honor of our favorite parody, Ritchie and I invited (from oldest to youngest) Steven, Alex, Amy, and Brittany, to a proper English garden tea party, advising them to arrive in style, donning there best British alias names and fashion.
We have an interesting flat roof area that's an easy climb out the bathroom window that I thought would be a great venue for our tea party. However, due to nasty wet/cold weather it was relocated to our living room.
I spread a colorful blanket in the middle of our floor, and Ritchie and I prepared a small array of delightful treats, including: cucumber and other sandwich crackers, fresh cut veggies, meats and cheese, tea-styled cookie sticks, and lots and lots of homemade chocolate-chip cookies. Oh, and an assortment of herbal tea, of course!

Our nieces and nephews arrived around 2pm, dressed to fit the part - they looked great!. It was a lot of fun socializing in our best British accents, and enjoying this unusually themed party. Following our "garden tea party" we did what any good hosts would do - we offered our funnest entertainment, Wii games, until it was time for them to go. A jolly good time was had by all!
